Rideshare Versus Black Car
Rideshare is a marketplace: whoever is nearby, whatever they drive, priced by demand. That is fine for a short hop and genuinely poor for a 5 a.m. flight in high season.
A black car reservation is a commitment made in advance. The vehicle is assigned, the chauffeur is named, the rate is fixed regardless of demand, and if the car were ever to fail, dispatch owns the problem — not you, standing in a driveway at dawn.
