Across the Causeway
Sanibel and Captiva sit off the coast west of Fort Myers, reached by the Sanibel Causeway. They are deliberately low-rise and low-speed islands — no traffic lights on Sanibel, a 35 mph limit, and a pace that is the entire reason people come.
The islands are also further from the airport than visitors expect. RSW to Sanibel is typically 45 minutes to an hour; Captiva adds another 20 to 30 on top, because the island road is slow by design.
What We Handle
RSW airport transfers. The standard booking. Flight-tracked, with meet & greet at baggage claim — worth having when arriving with beach luggage and children.
Resort and rental arrivals. Island resorts, cottages and private rentals across both islands.
Naples connections. Around 90 minutes, and a common trip for guests splitting a stay between the two.
Day trips off-island. Shopping at Miromar or Coconut Point, dinner in Fort Myers or Naples, with the car waiting.
Departures. Island timing is unforgiving — the causeway and the island speed limit both add time. We schedule departures conservatively.
A Note on Access
Both islands have been through significant storm recovery in recent years, and conditions on individual roads and properties can still change. We confirm access to your specific address before the day rather than assuming it.
